Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame
Experience Design Project
The concept behind this project was to make an interactive experience for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. People would be able to download and save music as they move through the exhibit and explore new artists.
Direction.
I wanted the visual language to stay true to the Rock & Roll aesthetic, using dark, textural imagery paired with vibrant, concert-like lighting. The contrast creates an energetic, atmospheric look that reflects the tone of the museum experience.
Framing.
Wireframing was essential for laying out the app’s structure and defining how users would move through each feature. It clarified what I needed to build and created a solid roadmap for the final design.
Process.
This stage was especially helpful because I was still learning Figma. It showed me how to set up a project the right way—organizing pages, flows, and components so the rest of the build felt more intuitive.
The App.
I’m pleased with how the concept came together and how clearly it expresses a personalized approach to the museum experience. The scope ended up broader than I anticipated, and I’d refine the feature set in a future iteration. That said, the final direction still delivers a distinct and personal way to engage with the museum
Memento.
The Mix serves as the final touch to the experience—a custom Rock Hall–branded CD that compiles the visitor’s favorite songs from their tour. After exploring the exhibits and saving tracks that resonated with them, the app burns those selections onto a personalized disk they can take home as a keepsake.
